How do I know if counselling is right for me?

What can I expect in a counselling session?
In our sessions, you can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and emotions. I tailor each session to your unique needs, using a variety of therapeutic tools, including traditional talk therapy, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques. Do you offer online counselling sessions?
Yes, I offer both in-person sessions on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and online counselling options. This flexibility allows you to choose the format that best suits your needs, whether you prefer face-to-face interaction or the convenience of online sessions.

How long does therapy usually take?
The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and goals. Some clients may find relief after a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing support. We will regularly assess your progress and adjust our approach as needed to ensure you’re receiving the best care.

Are your services confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a core principle of my practice. I adhere to the highest ethical standards as a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Your privacy is paramount, and I ensure that all information shared during our sessions remains confidential, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

How do I book a session?
Booking a session is easy! You can contact me through the online form on the website or call me during office hours (Monday to Friday: 5 PM – 7 PM; Saturday: By appointment only). I’ll respond to your inquiry as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.

What are your qualifications?
I hold an MPhil, MPACS, and DIPCouns in counselling, along with additional training in somatic therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioural techniques. With years of experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, I am committed to continuous learning and professional development to provide effective therapeutic approaches.
